Spring 2014 – Year 2 – Studio IV
“This is a studio course that introduces the strategies of architectural design. Students develop an architectural project based on a building program and site. Issues concerning building assemblies, structural systems, building envelope systems, and environmental systems are covered. The integration of these issues into building design is complemented by studio exercises. – See more at: http://www.aud.edu/architecture_art_design/en/program/70/bachelor-of-architecture#/architecture_art_design/en/course_description/70/bachelor-of-architecture”
Dubai is ever growing and in need for small communities that give the city its identity while providing affordable homes for its citizens. Barsha Row Houses offer an affordable spacious option for families and aspiring individuals.
The houses are laid out in a way to minimize the cost of construction while preserving the quality of life. The privacy of each house is carefully studied in the design process and each house is given its own outdoor space that connects to the public space. Each house has its own underground parking, guest parking, porches and terraces.
The public spaces contain spaces for the various age categories; these spaces are laid out in a way that preserves the safety of the users especially from the surrounding roads.
